Artistic Director, Paula Iacono
Owner/Artistic Director, Paula Iacono, is a world-class instructor, choreographer, and former competitive dancer, placing as a finalist with her former partners in national competitions in the U.S. and Canada over the past 20 years. Her professional career started out as a ballet dancer and musical theatre dancer in Boston, Massachusetts.
Paula was conservatory trained at Walnut Hill for the performing arts in Newton, Massachusetts, Cambridge School of Ballet, and The Boston Conservatory of Dance. Paula holds Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Art History from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
While in Buffalo, Paula has performed with the Zodiaque Dance Company, Upstage New York, Studio Arena, Pfeiffer Theatre, Theatre in the Square, and showcased on WNED, Channel 2 and Channel 7. She and her former partner were featured as Swing and Lindy dancers in the musical That’s Tap Two, in 2004. She also was featured in Full Swing, a commissioned piece by the Arts in Education Institute, where Paula was also a teaching and performing artist for the WNY arena for eight years. She partnered with Pierre Dulaine at the Imperial Conference, Boston, ME in 2005 for instructing the technique for a variety of dance lifts for ballroom dancers.
Paula’s professional affiliations include: the only locally certified member of the Imperial Society of Teacher’s of Dance, National Dance Council of America, Golden Key National Honor Society, ASCAP, BNI, WIN, and Biltmore Who’s Who.
Our Facility
We offer a fun and rewarding learning experience, enhanced by the aesthetics of our spacious facility, which houses two studios (equipped with sprung hardwood dance floors) and a comfortable lounge area for enjoying refreshments and socializing. Our professional sound system and DJ booth offer an extensive catalogue of music to accompany a wide variety of dances, while our dynamic lighting system helps set the mood for your dancing pleasure.
